Old fuse boxes and worn-out service entrance cables are more common than most people think - especially in older homes. They're easy to ignore until something goes wrong. And by the time something does go wrong, you're dealing with tripped fuses, flickering lights, or worse.

Here's what we were working with on this one: a dated fuse box that had clearly run its course, loose and frayed wiring at the service entrance, and an overall setup that just wasn't up to where it needed to be. Not a dangerous situation you want sitting in your home any longer than necessary.

We pulled out the old equipment and did it right from the ground up. New meter socket, proper grounding, and a new breaker panel installed and mounted clean. The kind of work that makes your home's electrical service something you don't have to think twice about. Both inside and out, everything got handled.

When we do a panel upgrade and service entrance cable replacement, we're not just swapping equipment. We're making sure the whole system - from where the power comes in off the utility lines all the way to your breakers - is safe, properly grounded, and built to handle modern electrical demands. That matters whether you're running a few lights or a house full of appliances.

A fuse box had its time, but that time has passed. If your home is still running on one, or if your service entrance cable is showing its age, it's worth getting eyes on it sooner rather than later.
